In about half an hour on the motorway from Verona we will reach Peschiera del Garda, one of the oldest lakeside villages: Roman and medieval ruins testify to the strategic position of this settlement, between water and land routes.

We will visit the centre, crossed by the picturesque Canal and the Ponte dei Voltoni bridge, with memories of the Habsburg and Risorgimento eras.

If you wish, we can take the boat and enjoy half an hour of navigation in the canals, to admire the imposing bastions of the fortress that surrounds the town, a magnificent sixteenth-century Venetian work, which has made Peschiera a UNESCO site since 2017.

We will continue towards Sirmione, possibly including a tasting stop in a winery in the nearby Lugana DOC white area, or a lunch in a typical trattoria.

Finally, Sirmione is an ancient village that stands on a narrow peninsula connected to the mainland by the Scaliger castle. We will walk through the alleys, ancient churches, spas and historic villas, until we reach the olive grove which overlooks a breathtaking view of Lake Garda.

Even in Sirmione it is possible to dedicate half an hour to sailing along the splendid coast, from which to admire the imposing archaeological complex of the "Grotte di Catullo" and the source of the thermal waters.

Obviously during the day it is possible to arrange free time for shopping, refreshments or, why not, for a nice refreshing bath!
