Verona's pasture plateau: the Lessinia

The Veronese mountain is called Lessinia: a landscape dominated by a vast plateau consisting of green pastures where dairy cows graze, relaxing villages with typical stone houses and small, ancient huts where, among others, Monte Veronese cheese is produced, with its different maturation nuances that every dairyman develops.

The natural treasures of Lessinia are guarded by the ancient Cimbri people, who still keep old traditions in a medieval language of Bavarian origin.

Lessinia is a popular destination but mainly for locals, and is therefore an ideal destination for those looking for an authentic, less touristy  and genuine environment.
