About half an hour's drive from Verona, sorrounded by rolling hills and orderly vineyards, we will arrive in front of the crenellated walls and the imposing Soave castle, which we will visit in its courtyards and fascinating interiors. ​

 

From the heart of the medieval village we will reach a family-run winery, where we will enjoy a rich tasting of DOC whites, particularly the fresh and mineral Soave Classico, its more structured variant Superiore, and the sweet Recioto di Soave, produced with drying technique. ​

The drive will continue towards the south-east, in a border area between the provinces of Verona, Vicenza and Padua, where we will enjoy a lunch based on the typical Prosciutto Crudo Berico-Euganeo DOP, an excellence of this region, characterized by its sweetness and versatility in the recipes.​

 

The backdrop of this drive will be the towns of Cologna Veneta, Lonigo and especially Montagnana, that we will visit, with its splendid medieval village completely surrounded by walls, towers and moat.

In general, it will be an opportunity to discover corners of Veneto far from the cities and still immersed in a peasant culture that has characterised this territory for centuries. ​
